ISSUES

Tatas in race for Daewoo unit:-

  • Tata motors had aquired Daewoo Commercial vehicles Co in March2004 for $102 million.
  • The company had earlier bought a 21% stake in Spanish bus maker Hispano Carrocera for $18 million with an option to pick up the remaining stake at a later date.
  • If Tata Motors wins the bid for Daewoo Automobile Romania, this will be the Indian firm's third big automobile acquisition in the global market in the recent years.

Private ATF supply:-

Within the next eight months, private sectors players will be able to supply ATF at all the major airports in India. The idea is to open up competition for supply of ATF to private players. Reliance is already supplying ATF at some of the minor airports.
